It is a different week but it is the same story. The Eagles lose to the Bronco's 52-20. As most experts predicted Peyton Manning torched the Eagles defense through the air. The defensive coordinator, Billy Davis, had no answers against Manning and all of his explosive offensive weapons. The Bronco's distributed the ball to all of their skilled position players which left Billy Davis looking confused. The Eagles defense only stopped the Bronco's two times the entire game and only got to Manning three times. However, they only sacked Manning one out of those three times and they did not force any turnovers. This is a recipe for disaster when the defense cannot get off of the field.
All of the blame cannot just go towards the defensive side of the ball because the offense along with special teams played a part in today's lose. First off, the Eagles special teams looked even worse then the defense in my opinion and they have a lot of work to do before their next game. Versus the Bronco's the Eagles special teams gave up a kick return for a touchdown and allowed a blocked punt for a touchdown. Also, Henry, the Eagles Kicker, missed another field goal this week. It is unacceptable for the Special teams to give up 17 points. That alone gave the Eagles the lose today.
The Eagles offense the past two weeks has only gotten worse. This is a big concern for me and should be to the Eagles fans. Are teams already catching onto Chip Kelly? Or are the players just not performing? Both are interesting questions to think about. However, I believe the players are just not making plays when they are given the opportunity. Also, remember the Eagles do not have their star Wide Receiver Jeremy Maclin who is out for the season because of injury. They do not have enough play makers at the Wide Receiver position in order to make big plays down the field but this does not give the Wide Receivers an excuse for dropping wide open passes thrown by Vick. They are not only dropping passes for big yardage but they are also not finishing their routes which leaves Vick stranded. All of these are reasons for the Eagles struggles the past few weeks.

Big Reds Return to Philly
This past Thursday the Eagles played the Kansas City Chiefs. This was the first time Andy Reid has returned home to Philadelphia since being fired. The Eagles fans applauded Andy as he came onto the field to show their gratitude for all his hard work over his tenure as Head Coach. However, things did not go the way the Eagles intended. They had several turnovers and the Chiefs capitalized on those costly mistakes. Although the Eagles came up short and are now 1-2, they did see improvement out of their defense and McCoy went off in the running game. He accounted for 158 yards on the ground on only 20 rushes which was very impressive. Hope to continue to see improvements out of the defense and I expect McCoy to rush for another 100 yards on the ground next week as they are facing a Bronco's team who has a high powered offense of their own. Expect a close game if the Eagles can control the clock and keep the ball out of Peyton Manning's hands.
Topics of discussion
I am a student at West Chester University and I made this blog for my composing cyberspace class. In this blog I will talk about different Philly sports teams such as the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and the Flyers. I will talk about multiple topics such as injuries, lineups, and all types of controversy brewing with these teams.
